Autumn Brewing Co., the North East based Gluten-Free brewer, has been shortlisted for the prestigious national Beer and Cider Marketing Awards 2017 in the Best Targeting of Alternative Markets category.
Peter Briggs, the Founder and Director of Autumn Brewing Co. commented on the Company’s nomination: “Being shortlisted for this prestigious national award is fantastic news for such a young business. The underlying ethos of the business is about producing great tasting beer using only naturally gluten-free grains and brewing malts. Our beers are for anyone who enjoys drinking good beer but with a focus on people who may be sensitive to gluten, have been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease or who are allergic to wheat, barley or rye.
“Since the launch of both ALT BREW No.01 Bavarian Style Pilsner and ALT BREW No.02 English Pale Ale we have had some excellent feedback from gluten intolerant customers regarding the taste and quality of the beers which was a key area within our product development process. We also have a growing number of customers who are not intolerant to gluten and enjoy drinking the beers because they simply enjoy good beer.”
Mr. Briggs continued: “The shortlisting is a great accolade as the judges include highly respected and influential beer journalists and bloggers, award winning marketeers and leading on and off trade operators. This can also help raise the profile and awareness of the gluten-free beer sector in general particularly at a time when the availability in pubs and restaurants has never been higher and the range of choice has never been greater.”
With an awards ceremony to be held on September 21st in London at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, the Beer and Cider Marketing Awards recognise the very best in beer and cider marketing with a range of award categories including Best Broadcast Ad campaign, Best PR campaign and Best Merchandise as well as Best Targeting of Alternative Markets.
